I am a newer member of the Connemara family. I totally agree with what others have said about Sheila Wetherbee. Her website is what first attracted me to her pups. My husband and I have had a number of terriers during our lives including a Scottie. 3 Airedales. and a Soft Coated Wheaten. We were looking for a small terrier who was bred for health and temperament and thankfully we found Sheila. She provided us with all of the information we needed and guided us as we chose our two dogs. We have a two year old male, Fionn, and an almost one year old female, Aine. They are wonderful and we love them dearly. Sheila is available by phone or email to help with any questions as they grow. She also provides us with a private FB page where we can share pictures ad information with other Connemara families. We enrolled both of our puppies in the Polished Puppy Program. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a jump start on training. Both puppies came to us being able to sit, down, stay and come when called. They were crate trained and well on their way to being house trained. It was really something to see these little guys come running when called, sit and look up to make eye contact.I think the most important thing was that they learned to learn with positive training methods. This breeding and training combination cannot be matched!

We have two CJRT's, and they are the loves of our lives. Sheila is a knowledgable and very caring breeder. I have not heard of breeders who encourage keeping in touch with families and are available for LIFE with advice. Scout and Ollie are true Connemara gentlemen!

We have two Connemara Terriers, and they are wonderful dogs. Sweet, affectionate, strong-willed, and with a great sense of humor! Really! Connemara takes great care in breeding these dogs, and it shows. And they are always available to help with questions or issues that arise.

I've been dealing with Connemara Terriers since 2003, and got my first CJRT in 2004 (2nd in 2005). I have to say that in a lifetime of dogs I've never run across anyone more dedicated to high-quality, responsible breeding and owner support than Connemara Terriers. The relationship only begins when you get your dog and continues as long as you care to maintain the relationship. Connemara is a great source of health-related information as well as training guidance and support. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you want a JRT, this is the place to get it.

I love my three Connemara Terriers! They range in age from 4 to 10. I love the fact that if I have a question any time, anywhere about my dogs, Connemara is only a phone call or email away to help.

I have known Sheila and Stephanie for five years and have three of their CJRTs. Connemara Terriers are not your typical "breeders". They are an amazing team that produce amazing dogs. They are extremely knowlegeable about health, behavior, and training, and are always available for support and guidance. I have also had the pleasure of working with them as part of their Polished Puppy program, and over the past three years have trained forty two of their incredible puppies. I can't say enough about my experience with Sheila and now Steph. When I happened upon their web site, many years ago, I knew I had found something very special. Special in a breeder who goes above and beyond in raising the best little Jacks in this country. I now own two of these little ones and they are just simply amazing. When you purchase a Connemara Jack Russell you are not only getting a wonderful, loyal and loving dog but you are also getting a proven and researched healthy little friend. Your dog is a life long commitment and the breeder of these dogs will always be there for any help, information or even taking the dog back in the event you cannot keep it. I have two little Jacks and they are a real part of my family. I cannot imagine not having one of these little dogs in my life.

I personaly did not think that we could have found a nicer dog than Shinga until we got Letaba. I don't know were to begin with her; she has such a nice personality with a lot of attitude - in a good way. Letaba is definitely the most intelligent JR that we have ever owned, she is our 5th one by the way, we are loyal to the end with JR's. She is the dominant dog in the house luckily my other two do not seem to mind. She plays so nicely with Shinga and that was the main reason for getting her. We absolutely love them.

I don't think Bugsy could have been any better up to this point. He was no bother on the drive home for the 4 hours as he just played with his toy (a squeaky, stuffed animal squirrel) and slept. He seemed happy at the house- he was playful between quite a few naps. I was dreading the first night being positive it would be difficult for him. Again, he could not have been any better. He did cry in his crate for a short five minutes. After that, he did not wake up once and slept the entire night without relieving himself in his crate. I am sure he will be a great dog and companion. Thanks again and take care!

I cannot add anything more than what has been said by the others. I have never come across a more wonderful breeder. I have now bought 4 Connemara Terriers and have to resist temptation every time a new litter is announced. I bought my first Connemara Terrier 7 years ago and my latest one just last year. No where else was I offered such extensive genetic testing, microchipping, unconditional support, rehoming, nutritional consulting, training advice, and troubleshooting when I have had a problem.
